The Belgian company NPP NEW product packlab GmbH produces plastic products for the food industry. For this purpose the company will invest 8.5 million euros in Frankfurt (Oder). At the moment the company uses several production halls for rent at the Technologie- und Gewerbecenter areal in Frankfurt (Oder). For the future, a new facility will be constructed in the commercial area GVZ Frankfurter Tor Nord-Ost, directly at the motorway A12/ E30. The respective land plot has already been bought. The aim of NPP is the step-by-step reduction of the share of the traditional plastics in the production in favour of biological and recycled plastics. Main customers are catering companies from tourism, industry and trade. Furthermore, self-developed food-service concepts should be deployed in hospitals and supermarkets.
