Astronergy Solarmodule GmbH, part of the Chinese Chint Group, took over the module factory of former Conergy AG in December 2013 and continued the produktion of quality solar modules “Made in Germany” with up to 300 employees. After the EU had lifted the previously applicable import protective tariffs on Chinese solar modules, the company had to close its production facility for economic reasons on March 31st 2019. At the same time, Astronergy confessed to Frankfurt (Oder) and moved with its service and sales team to a new location: The Oderturm in the center of Frankfurt. Since then, the company is selling it’s Asian Modules from there to its German and also European customers. Also other areas such as marketing, logistics, customs clearance and other services for European and global customers are still managed from Frankfurt (Oder). In addition to Europe and China, the company is also present in the USA, Korea, Japan and Thailand.
