Germany on the rise as top location for foreign investors

Foreign firms have expanded their activities in Germany significantly. While France, England and Spain falter, Germany is becoming again increasingly popular among foreign investors. Main reason is seen in the reputation of “Made in Germany”, which has gained against the international trend of 8% less FDI worldwide compared to 2010. This is the result of the new “Global Location Trends” report of IBM Group. According to the report, foreign companies began in 2011 more than 600 major new investment projects – as to create more than 26,000 new jobs. Compared to 2010 this is an increase of 77 percent. The trend backwards can be seen especially in the United States but also in China, India and Russia, where Foreign Direct Investments have double-digit declines compared to 2010…. Link
